Q: How large do my audience segments have to be to drive performance?
A: Your audience size must be at least 1,000 uniques to deliver any performance result. Small audiences make it statistically challenging to generate any views or clicks higher than a single digit.
Q: What happens when I target the same audience with more than one campaign?
A: Targeting an audience with more than one campaign just means that potentially the same user will see more than one creative at any given time. Often this can be around the same time, if the campaigns are running concurrently. If you are concerned about segregating what your audience segments are seeing, it's best to keep a 1:1 relationship between your creatives and your audience segments.
Q: What is Audience Auto-optimization?
A: When you do nothing to target a campaign, MNTN will automatically serve the creatives in your campaign to the best performing segment of your overall pool of site visitors. You can still elect to apply audience filters to the campaign and MNTN will "include" all the behavioral characteristics of the audience you've defined while targeting. You can read more here.
Q: How can I track my Audience performance?
A: You can see different attributes to your audience's size and performance in the Audience Dashboard. The audience list will show you quick audience data at a glance or you can preview your audience to see the individual settings for each segment in detail.
Q: How many audiences can I create?
A: Technically there is no limit on the number of audiences you can create. It's always a good idea to track audiences you've already created and see how many campaigns are targeting them. To be sure your aren't unnecessarily creating too much overlap.
